NCR Club Launch - September 2007

Launch Summary

Regularly scheduled club launch.  Thanks to Ken Plattner for towing out, Ken Sherman for towing back and to Ed Dawson for coordiating the waiver in my absence.  28 flyers put up 74 flights.  Ken Reilly had the most launches with 6 flights, followed closely by Dennis Billings with 5.  Notable flights include two L2 Certifications - Gary Choske flew his Armageddon on a Cessaroni J285 and Doug Gerecht flew his Aamram on an Aerotech J415.  Other notable flights should include Eric Dickey's Tower of Power 2 on an L850 and the College Kickoff Drag Race by Dennis Billings featuring Cam the Ram and Ralphie.  Flights are listed in a random order as the launch cards have been shuffled and sorted a few times eliminating the correct sequence of events.  Motor usage breaks down as follows, with staged flights and clusters credited to the largest motor used.  1/2 A's= 3, A's=4, B's=5, C's=8, D's=4, E's=3, F's=7, G's=8, H's=12, I's=12, J's=7 and L's=1. 

Weather Conditions

As expected, another beautiful day on the prairie.  Clear skies and warm temperatures made for a very pleasant day.  Clouds rolled in over the range in the afternoon but the threat of rain never delivered.
