Edward, I had a question for you on the Alpha hardware. One of the things that I see as a real advantage for SRS and RATT is that their hardware has a threaded hole on top of the fwd closure. I use this as an attachment point for the shock cord, as well as for motor retention.
Does (will) the Alpha hardware have such a setup? Not that this is important for everyone, but for some of us it is fairly critical.

The Alpha hardware doesn’t have a screw in attachment point because it would derate the DOT tank. But, if you want a hardpoint I just take 2 pieces of kevlar and tie them each in a loop and loop around the neck of the tank. The neck is about 1″ diameter while the tank is 2″. It leaves you room to slide the kevlar on the sides.

I’d love to burn one of your motors Ed, but I do have a question. What do you get in the way of residue on the aft end of the rocket?
Warren
Depends on how close you get the blast deflector. 🙂 If you don’t want any sooty byproducts (not worse than a skid) just spray a little PAM on the aft end.

If you’re not flying off a rail, you are SOL as the stem assembly does not mount to anything else
You can launch Ratt, Hypertec, SRS or other kinds of hybrids using any rail or rod that NCR has in stock. It only matters if its a Hypertech. Then you have to choose if you wish to use a rail or a rod, we do have a Hypertech attachment for a rod up to 1/2″
Let me know if you need more inforation.
Dale.
We are Good to Go with our scheduled and approved launch on Saturday April 5th and Sunday April 6th, from the North Site, subject to change – Mostly cloudy and High Winds predicted. Range and waiver should be active by 9AM on Saturday. The Pawnee National Grassland remains fragile and dry, so extra precautions are in order. Please stay on the authorized roads and please don’t park more than 100’ off the road at the flight line.
