A Stage Two Fire Ban and COVID-19 Precautions remain in effect on the Pawnee National Grassland. Our scheduled launch event, Dog Daze of August, has been cancelled. Pray for rain and common sense.
The San Luis Valley Rocketeers in Alamosa are flying this Saturday, August 8th. SCORE is planning to fly at the Hudson Ranch, southwest of Pueblo on Saturday, August 15th. And the KLOUDBUSTERS, in Argonia, Kansas, will be hosting AIRFEST 26 over the Labor Day weekend. Too far to go? Rumor has it SLVR will be lofting spuds on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5th and 6th.
NOT HAPPENING!
NO GO for launch at the Atlas Site. Stage Two Fire Restrictions have been lifted but the prairie remains very dry. More importantly, pandemic spikes and precautionary recommendations suggest a group meeting, even with social distancing and masks in place, is not a healthy option.
This has been a really tough year and maybe next year will be better.
Good news to follow eventually regarding 2021 launch schedule and our Annual meeting (also currently Not Happening).
